Day 1 - Arrive to Honolulu (2 nights)
Aloha and welcome to Hawaii! Upon arrival at Honolulu InternationalAirport, you are greeted with a traditional fresh flower lei andtransferred to your hotel in the heart of Waikiki. After meetingwith your Tour Director at the hotel, enjoy the rest of the day todo as you please. Perhaps start exploring on your own or indulge insome early shopping at Waikiki''s International Market Place. Withover 130 carts, shops and artisan stands, this open-air setting inthe heart of Waikiki remains a must-see-and-do for that specialgift or souvenir.Hotel: Pacific Beach Hotel (Partial Ocean View)
Day 2 - Pearl Harbor - Honolulu sightseeing & at leisure
Meet with your Tour Director and fellow travelers for a privategathering and then head out to Pearl Harbor for a visit to the USSArizona, a tribute to those military personnel killed in the fatalattack of December 7, 1941. On to Punchbowl National MemorialCemetery of the Pacific, followed by Downtown Honolulu to view theKing Kamehameha Statue, Iolani Palace - the only official royalresidence on American soil - and the State Capitol. Also includedin today''s excursion is a visit to a renowned coral jewelryworkshop where you learn how Hawaii''s rare and precious corals areharvested, graded and crafted into unique island designs. The restof the afternoon is free to do as you please. This evening, aHighlight Dinner is served at a local restaurant. (Full breakfast /Highlight dinner)
Day 3 - Oahu - Hawaii Volcanoes National Park - Kona (2 nights)
Start with a short flight to the island of Hawaii. Landing in Hilo,set out on a fabulous day of sightseeing. Experience diversescenery as you make your way across the island to the Kona Coast.En route, explore Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a UNESCO WorldHeritage Site and home to Mauna Loa, the most massive volcano onearth, and Kilauea, the world''s most active volcano which has beenerupting almost continually since 1983 and produces rivers of fierylava. After a Highlight Lunch at the Volcano House, visit theJaggar Museum and learn of the explosive beginnings of the HawaiianIslands and get the opportunity to walk through an actual lavatube. Your Tour Director will reveal a Hidden Treasure before thejourney continues on through macadamia nut orchards and Kona''sfamous coffee farms. Stop at a local coffee plantation and see howKona coffee is grown, harvested and processed. Sip a freshly brewedcup and experience the rich aroma and flavorful taste that makesKona coffee so highly valued. Then travel to your oceanfront hotelon the stunning Kona Coast. Day 4 - Kona at leisure
Spend the entire day doing whatever interests you most. As theresidence of the great King Kamehameha, Kailua-Kona is rich inhistorical highlights as well as fun activities. Take an optionalexcursion to a historic heiau, or Hawaiian temple of worship, orchoose from a host of options, including boat excursions,snorkeling adventures, or an exciting ride aboard a submarine,cruising slowly through the colorful coral gardens and giving youthe unique experience of a snorkeler''s-eye view of the marine lifewithout getting wet! Day 5 - Kona - Maui (3 nights)
Fly to the island of Maui. Many say that ''Maui No Ka Oi,'' or ''Mauiis the Best,'' with its combination of old and new, beaches and golfcourses, superb hotel conveniences and awesome natural beauty.First, discover historic Lahaina, an old whaling center and formercapital of the island. There is time to walk along the picturesquewaterfront, past historic landmarks, and browse the many shops andart galleries before visiting an organic farm for a uniquefarm-to-table culinary journey.
