Day 1 - Arrive Boston

Day 2 - Boston - Fredericton
We travel briefly along the New England coast through New Hampshirebefore heading inland through the woods of Maine. We cross theborder into New Brunswick, Canada, and arrive in Fredericton, theprovincial capital. Tonight enjoy the sights, tastes and sounds ofKings Landing Historic Settlement, followed by a Highlight Dinnerwith live music. (Full breakfast / Highlight dinner)Hotel: Delta Fredericton

Day 3 - Fredericton - Halifax (2 nights)
Explore charming Fredericton, settled by British Loyalists fleeingthe American Revolution in 1783. Our tour includes views of theUniversity of New Brunswick, one of Canada''s oldest universities,the beautiful Legislative Assembly building and the old ChristChurch Cathedral. Later we skirt the shores of the Bay of Fundy,stopping at Fort Beausejour National Historic Site for a visit tothis 18th century military outpost, important in the early colonialstruggles of the region. This evening we arrive in dynamic Halifax,capital of Nova Scotia. (Full breakfast)Hotel: Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites (2 nights)

Day 4 - Halifax sightseeing & at leisure
Today we explore the sights of this historic city, including avisit to the Citadel National Historic Site, and learn about thelink between Halifax and the sinking of the Titanic. The afternoonis at leisure. Perhaps join us on an optional excursion topicturesque Peggy''s Cove, one of the most charming fishing villagesin the Maritimes, with wonderful views of the rocky shoreline andits famous red and white lighthouse. Day 5 - Halifax - Sherbrooke Village - Baddeck (2 nights)
Heading north, we stop at the Fisherman''s Life Museum where welearn about the life of a coastal family in the early 1900''s. On tohistoric Sherbrooke Village for a visit to this living museumdepicting a late 19th century mining and lumber village. Later wecross the Canso Causeway to Cape Breton Island. Traveling along theshores of scenic Bras d''Or Lake, we arrive in the quaint village ofBaddeck. (Full breakfast / Dinner)Hotel: Silver Dart Lodge (2 nights)

Day 6 - Cape Breton Highlands National Park & Cabot Trailexcursion
We start the day with a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell NationalHistoric Site, where many of the great inventor''s personalartifacts and mementos are on display. Later we follow the splendidCabot Trail, one of the world''s greatest scenic drives. Mile afterstunning mile, this amazing coastline with jagged peaks rising outof the sea provides plenty of photo opportunities. We then continuealong the trail to Cape Breton Highlands National Park, home todeep-walled canyons, sandy beaches and majestic cliffs. We returnto Baddeck in the late afternoon. (Full breakfast)

Day 7 - Baddeck - Wood Islands Ferry - Charlottetown (2 nights)
Today our Tour Director will reveal a Hidden Treasure to us. Were-cross the Canso Strait and travel through Antigonish to thequaint fishing town of Pictou, one of the finest natural harbors inCanada. We cross the Northumberland Strait by ferry to PrinceEdward Island. We then journey through the scenic Prince EdwardIsland countryside to charming Charlottetown. (Full breakfast) Hotel: Rodd Charlottetown (2 nights)

Day 8 - Prince Edward Island sightseeing & at leisure
We are joined by a local guide and start our exploration of PrinceEdward Island. We drive up to the north shore to visit PrinceEdward Island National Park, an area of red sandstone cliffs,offshore sand bars, submerged estuaries, and some of Canada''slongest and most popular beaches. In Cavendish we visit GreenGables, the lovely wooden farmhouse which inspired the setting forLucy Maud Montgomery''s Anne of Green Gables. This evening why notattend an optional performance of the popular musical Anne of GreenGables? (Full breakfast)

Day 9 - Charlottetown - Shediac Bay - Moncton
We travel across the Confederation Bridge, the world''s longestbridge over icecovered water, back to New Brunswick. At ShediacBay, we board a lobstering cruise. We learn about the daily routineof lobstermen and the proper way to cook and crack lobsters. Wefinish with a freshly cooked, mouth-watering Lobster HighlightLunch served on board (weather permitting.) We then visit a localwinery and sample local fruit wines. We overnight in Moncton, acity known for its French and English heritage. (Full breakfast /Highlight lunch / Dinner) Hotel: Delta Beausejour

Day 10 - Moncton - Hopewell Rocks - Saint John
This morning we drive along the scenic Bay of Fundy to see theHopewell Rocks. We join a local guide and learn about these unusualflowerpot-shaped islands carved by the world''s highest tides. Wethen travel from Moncton to historic Saint John, where we view theamazing Reversing Falls on the Saint John River, a uniquephenomenon caused by the tremendous tides in the Bay of Fundy. Ashort city orientation tour includes a stop at the Old City Marketbefore arriving at our hotel. (Full breakfast) Hotel: Hilton Saint John

Day 11 - St. John - Acadia National Park - Bar Harbor
We travel south and cross the border back into the US and the stateof Maine. We arrive at the seaside village of Bar Harbor, home tothe sumptuous mansions of America''s wealthiest families who come tospend summers along the shores of Frenchman Bay. This afternoon wevisit nearby Acadia National Park, the only national park in theNew England states. Our tour takes us along the rugged coastline,past golden beaches to the top of Cadillac Mountain for panoramicviews. Tonight we toast to our newfound friends and Maritimeadventure at our Farewell Dinner. (Full breakfast / Farewelldinner) Hotel: Bar Harbor Regency

Day 12 - Bar Harbor - Depart Boston
